Harold Jacobsen Scholarship

Harold Jacobsen began his service to Sigma Pi as Executive Secretary in 1927 and continued as an active board member of the Educational Foundation until 1992. A lifelong commitment to education and academics was acknowledged by the creation of this award. The Jacobsen Scholarship recognizes the Sigma Pi most exemplifying academic excellence. Nominees must be a sophomore or junior at the time of application.

Curtis G. Shake Scholarship

Honorary Grand Sage Shake was the Fraternity's first grand fourth counselor and began the endowment fund. As an attorney, Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, and later a presiding justice at the Nuremberg War Trials, he had an outstanding legal career. This award was established in 1972 to honor Judge Shake's commitment to Fraternity and career. The scholarship is presented to a deserving first or second year law student.

Lyle H. Smith Scholarship

In 1983, the Educational Foundation created this scholarship to memorialize the contributions of Past Grand Sage Smith. To assist brothers in his field, a student showing excellence in Hotel and Food Management or a related area shall receive this award.
