The Educational Foundation accepts scholarship nominations from January 1st through May 1st each year. Individuals may apply for any scholarship they qualify for or they may be nominated by a third party (examples include: a chapter, alumni club, undergraduate or alumnus member of the Fraternity, the chapter scholarship committee, or a faculty member).
Nominations and applications must be submitted online. Please visit the Foundation’s On-Line Application Form and apply or nominate someone today.
The size of awards is dependent upon the interest accumulated from the scholarship fund during the prior fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Scholarships can range in size from $250.00 to over $5000.00.
The Educational Foundation's Committee on Loans and Scholarships will review applications, selecting the applicant best meeting the criteria for that award. The committee will make its recommendations to the president of the Educational Foundation whose decision will be final.
Recipients of scholarships and awards will be notified during the summer. All recipients are expected to submit a photograph of themselves prior to the release of their award. The picture may be utilized for Sigma Pi publications and will not be returned. Scholarships and grants are not taxable income if used for tuition, books, or other directly related educational expenses.
