| Description: | For years the Beta-Omicron (Cal State – Long Beach) alumni club has been hosting a golf tournament to provide scholarships to undergraduate members of Beta-Omicron. In 1992 Jim Robertson enrolled at Cal State – Long Beach and soon after initiated into the Beta-Omicron Chapter. After Jim’s passing in 1992, his big brother, Steve Lindholm, had the tournament renamed in his honor. The Jim Robertson memorial golf tournament is one of the most successful alumni fundraisers in the country, having raised over $100,000 in its history. The scholarship fund that it benefits has now paid out over $70,000 to Beta-Omicron undergraduate members who exemplify what it means to promote scholarship. The Jim Robertson memorial golf tournament is held the first Friday in October every year.
